Tropical Home Improvements began operations in 1967 in Melbourne with owner and present operator Richard Schepen. As a qualified interior designer Richard has experience in large estate planning, architectural design in both private and commercial building and renovations. 

Operations in Cairns, Far North Queensland began 22 years ago and the company has evolved to specialise in complete bathroom renovations, maintenance, and repairs. We provide all trades from a start to finish product.

Tropical Home Improvements licensed builders have undertaken projects at Green Island and Fitzroy Island and brought a touch of luxury to local resorts throughout Cairns.

We are now focused on bringing the same high quality product to private home owners throughout Cairns and surrounding areas at an affordable price.

We have now completed more than 2000 projects.

The owner Richard Schepen is a judge for the HIA Housing Awards for the Mackay and Townsville regions, He was appointed judge in early 2009 for the HIA National Australia Housing Awards.
